World Tourism recovering the wounds that are
happened after September 11. Turkey overcame the negative developments of the last quarter of 2001 in the new year. Turkish Tourism had an 8 percent positive development in the first 8 months of 2002 in contrast to the same period of last year. It is expected that the number of incoming tourists will exceed 12 million and 10 billion dollars in tourism income
at the end of this year.

In 2002, Turkey become the most favourite destination in Europe, and this will continue in the following years. The
news in the media that states ã11.5 million German tourists will visit Turkey in the following 3 yearsä is a proof of the positive developments in Turkish Tourism.

Turkey with its rich historical and cultural values, new hotels and resorts, clean blue colour seas and beaches, hospitable people and availability to all types of tourism will continue to
be one of the unforgettable travel destinations of the world.
